"...the story".

Firstly, an introduction: my name is Phoebe. I am an artistic designer, an interior enthusiast, a creative... the lady from Bristol who chose to listen to her colourful butterfly brain and set up a creative studio in amongst a global pandemic.
Growing up in the outskirts of one of the most creative cities in the world, I was destined to fall into the creative world. I remember my Dad drawing scribbles on a page and I would then have to create an animal or mythical creature from the shape.
My early career began studying Architectural technology and here I learned how important the design process of a building and its interiors affects humans in everyday life. I soon realised that the housing developer industry wasn't for me.
The year 2020, a year we will all remember (or not want to remember), was where I turned to paint again; after years of not holding a paintbrush in my hand, I found great comfort in creating whilst the world around us was in turmoil. It made me happy and content. Fast forward a year later, still in the pandemic, I decided to leave my job in the architectural field taking with me skills that I had learned about design along with people management.
I needed to build what I called 'creative confidence back. So, I started offering personalised abstract paintings for loved ones, items that they could hang in their homes. The places that we had all been forced to embrace more in lockdown. I wanted to create pieces that had been designed for them, something they could look at and enjoy, maybe even take comfort from.
That's how PHOEBE ET LA LUNE was born ... with one thing in mind; the need for creating beautiful and thoughtful designs, not for myself but others. The name ... I'll leave that story for another time on my journals page. So for now, hello, welcome, and thank you for taking the time to visit my page. I'm very excited to see where this journey takes me and if I can put a smile on at least one person's face, then surely it's a job well done.
